Another Landry lands in the record books as Timberwolves defeat Bobcats
PRINCE GEORGE – Anything you can do, I can do better… and such is the case in the sister-sister relationship between Madison and Rebecca Landry.
Madison Landry held the University of Northern British Columbia single-game rookie scoring record for four years. Four years before her little sister, Rebecca came along.
On Saturday (Jan. 25), Rebecca set a new UNBC record with 30 points in the Timberwolves 96-60 win over the Brandon University Bobcats.
Landry’s 30 were aided by her six three-pointers, but the first-year also chipped in with three rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Her older sister Madison scored 20 points, to go along with six assists and four rebounds. Maria Mongomo, fresh off three consecutive 30-point outings, added 17 points and nine boards, while Emma vanBruinessen grabbed 14 boards.
