Police appeal to public for information on car potentially related to 2019 homicide

pPRINCE GEORGE–Police are appealing to the public for help identifying a vehicle believed to be related to a 2019 homicide.

On January 12th, 2019 RCMP responded to a call of found human remains in the area of West Lake, and another of a vehicle on fire on Chilako Station Rd. Police determined that the two incidences were related.

The human remains were identified as 41-year-old Kristopher Bychyk originally from the Lower Mainland. “Kris grew up in the Lower Mainland and in 2018 decided to go to Prince George for a job opportunity and affordable housing,” Sherri, Bychyk’s mother.

Police say that canvassing of the West Lake and Chilako areas have been completed, video footage has been reviewed and the forensic analysis continues. However, officers would like the public’s assistance in information related to a black Dodge Neon with a distinct spoiler and white design on the side of it.
