Raising money to create accessible information on LGBTQ+

Jan 29, 2020 | 12:01 PM

PRINCE GEORGE–Trans-ucation is a local group hoping to broaden the information communities have on those who identify under the LGBTQ+ umbrella.

A binder is being created by Trans-ucation, a local group who aims at bringing information to the general public about those who identify at LGBTQ+.

Jaxon Nicol, Chair of Trans-ucation says that they are hosting monthly events to try and raise money for the cost of running the society and creating a binder filled with information for educating the public on people identifying as LGBTQ+.

“This is my passion, not only to fight for equality but to create a northern and central connection of information for everyone.”–Jaxon Nicol

Nicol explained to CKPG News that this binder could help medical professionals understand terminologies when it comes to those identifying as LGBTQ+ or even help first responders as well.

Nicol says they hope to raise $2,000 through their fundraising events, with an upcoming fundraiser on Feb.16th. The event will start at 3 p.m. and continue into the night time hours.
