Teamsters at CN ratify new contract

PRINCE GEORGE — Over 3,000 Teamster union members have overwhelmingly ratified a new contract with CN Rail.

Conductors, yard workers and trainpersons have voted 91 per cent to ratify a new three year deal.

The contract focuses primarily on safety, specifically with regards to crew fatigue and hours of work.

The agreement was reached during an eight day strike in November last year.

There are over 100 Teamster union members in Prince George.
