UNBC women roll to another win, men’s scoring woes continue
REGINA — The UNBC Timberwolves are experiencing Regina currently with the women’s basketball team again having more success than their male counterparts.
A tightly contested match the whole way through, the women TWolves managed to outlast a very game University of Regina team en route to a 73-67 victory. The win brings UNBC one game closer to .500 at 8-9.
Madison Landry put up a game-high 30 points to go along with ten rebounds for a standout performance in the winning effort.
Meanwhile on the men’s side, more difficulties on the hardcourt for UNBC. Tyrell Laing was the only Timberwolve to elipse double digit points, reaching 22 on the night. But being outscored in each quarter, the Cougars cruised to a 90-58 win over a struggling TWolves team. The men’s squad now sits at 4-12 on the year.
