Cariboo Cougars earn weekend sweep at showcase

After losing 5 of their last 6 games, the Cariboo Cougars were looking for a bounce back weekend at the Major Midget Showcase in Kelowna.

The Cougars had a double header with the South Island Royals at the annual Showcase event and a date with one of the bottom feeders in the BC Major Midget League was just what the doctor ordered for the Cats. They skated to a 5-3 win on Saturday and then followed it up with a massive 7-0 win Sunday. The pair of wins helps improve their record to 20-10-1-1 on the year. The Major Midget Cats have 8 games remaining in the regular season and all of them will be played at Kin 1 beginning this Saturday when they host the Greater Vancouver Canadians.
