4 arrested in Chetwynd drug bust
CHETWYND — Four people have been arrested in relation to a drug bust in Chetwynd.
North District RCMP Cpl. Madonna Saunderson says if follows the execution of a search warrant on Tuesday (Feb.4) at a home in the Legion Subdivision.
“Four people inside the residence were arrested, including the homeowner, a 21-year-old man,” she says. “Police seized over $6000 in Canadian currency and approximately 300 grams of suspected cocaine as well as paraphernalia associated with drug trafficking.”
Saunderson says the investigation is ongoing and charges of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a prohibited weapon will be forwarded to the BC Prosecution Service for review.
