Rotaract Club holds bake sale in support of Australia

PRINCE GEORGE – More local support this weekend to help those affected by the wildfires in Australia.

The Prince George Rotaract Club held a bake sale Saturday with proceeds going towards the cause. It was the final leg of a nearly month-long campaign by the organization, which also featured a sale at UNBC.

The project is one close to the club president’s heart.

“My dad is Australian and with all the bush fires going on, a lot of people close to him have been affected,” explained Sarah Ash. “It’s awesome to see the impact it has. With where we are donating, one hundred per cent of the donations do go directly to it.”

In total, the Rotaract club was able to raise $1,480 dollars.
