Turning back the clock at the annual Mayor’s Black and White Ball

PRINCE GEORGE – This year’s Mayors Black and White Ball for the Arts is traveling back in time as they have announced a ’20s theme for the ball.

The third annual ball is designed to support local art organizations through direct funding and to establish new community art grants.

The funds raised will go towards the Community Arts Council of Prince George, Prince George Symphony Orchestra, Theatre NorthWest, and the Prince George Arts Micro-Grant program.

President of the Arts Council, Linda Rempel, says that fundraising is important for the art organizations in the community and that it will continue “to bring art into everyday life”.

The Mayors Black and White Ball for the Arts will take place on May 9 at the Prince George Civic Centre.
