Standing up to bullying with a flash mob
PRINCE GEORGE – A flash mob happened today (February 26) at the College of New Caledonia to stand up against bullying. The event included cupcakes, positive messages, pink shirts, and of course the flash mob.
The flash mob takes place on the same day as the 13 annual Pink T-Shirt day- a day to wear a pink t-shirt and spread the message of anti-bullying.
About 30 representatives from various businesses and organizations around the city took part in the event. The Student Union at CNC believes that having one person from a number of groups sends a more powerful message than having a bunch of people from one group.
Being able to raise awareness about bullying is the main point that the event was trying to push across. The organizer of the Student Union at CNC, Amy Barry, says that getting people more prepared will help bystanders tackle bullying.
