PRINCE GEORGE – A local First Nations leader is concerned that Indigenous people are being stigmatized as rail blockades continue across the country.

Carrier Sekani Tribal Chief Mina Holmes says that’s unfair, reiterating her support for economic development in the north.

The civil disobedience across the nation over the past few weeks has prompted some First Nations leaders into action to defend their support for economic opportunities.

Tribal Chief Mina Holmes wanted to remind her neighbours they are open for business, regardless of what’s going.
