Show your transit driver some appreciation on March 18
PRINCE GEORGE–March 18th, mark that down in your calendars if you are an active bus rider.
On March 18th BC Transit, along with other transit systems across North America will be celebrating Transit Driver Appreciation Day (TDAD). Communities taking part in the appreciation day include the Bulkley-Nechako Regional District, Campbell River, Castlegar, Cowichan Valley Regional District, Peachland, Prince George, Powell River, Sunshine Coast, Smithers, Trail, Vernon, Victoria and Williams Lake.
“Whether people are taking the bus to school or work, visiting friends or family, or doing errands, they couldn’t do it without transit drivers. Please join me in thanking BC Transit drivers who work hard to get us where we need to go.”– Claire Trevena, Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure
The hashtag #TDAD can be used on social media to share photos on the day, or simply remember a thank you before hopping off the bus.
