Career fair invites Mackenzie residents looking to build onto their career

MACKENZIE – The community of Mackenzie has been hit hard over the past few years with consecutive mill closures.

This week the McLeod Lake Indian Band hosted its 12th annual career fair in the community of Mackenzie to show residents there is hope and work to be found.

Inside the Mackenzie recreation complex, one of the halls is busy with some people looking to build or look for a new career.

Many of the companies that attended the fair have ongoing work in the region and are looking to add to their workforce.

Local High school students were also invited to take part in the Career fair.
