Peace River Regional District resident wins $500,000

VANCOUVER–He said “yes” and that’s what won him the $500,000.

Peace River Regional District resident, John Inkster says that he’s going to make a habit of saying “yes” more often after saying “yes” to the Extra in the Feb.7 Lotto Max Extra draw, for the first time.

Inkster decided to pick up a $30 Weekly Pack at the Dawson Coop Bar– something out of his regular routine. “Normally I buy (tickets) for one draw, but I didn’t know if I would make the next draw, so I decided to buy a weekly pack,” he said from BCLC’s Kamloops prize payout office.

Inkster says that the win might allow him to retire earlier than he had expected but plans to pay off his mortgage first.
