Barker Street Cinema attempts to resurge PG’s film industry with new film

PRINCE GEORGE–Barker Street Cinema will attempt to revive Prince George’s previous success in film making with a new film.

Ariel ALPHA, will be produced and filmed entirely in Prince George in an attempt to spark interest in local movie production. The science fiction story is set in the near future and tells the story of a grieving young man who questions love and life after an unexpected encounter with a service promising the perfect romantic solution.

The film will feature Actor Madison Smith, originally from Prince George. Madison is best know for his roles in Salvation, Riverdale and Supergirl.

Madison will be joined by Becca Scott, from Los Angeles, California. Scott is known for her roles in Geek and Sundry, Fail Lab and Tween Fest. The film will also showcase some of the city’s most recognizable locations such as UNBC, Betulla Burning, The White Goose Bistro and the former location of Ohh Chocolat.

“I’m so excited about everything that’s happening in my hometown,” says actor Madison Smith, “I can’t wait for the world to see what Prince George can do.”
