Beware of COVID-19 scams

PRINCE GEORGE — Beware of COVID-19 scams.

A number of them have cropped up since the coronavirus outbreak began.

Some of the scammers are impersonating public health officers and asking for credit card information to begin a shipment of medication related to the contamination.

In at least one other case, people are buying up hand sanitizer and trying to sell it at inflated prices online.
