Small businesses forced to make changes as COVID-19 concerns grow
PRINCE GEORGE — As COVID-19 concerns continue to grow, forcing large-scale gatherings to cancel and many to work from home, the small business community is perhaps one of the largest groups to be impacted.
With the coronavirus situation changing daily or even hourly, it leaves a lot of uncertainty. And that is perhaps their biggest concern, according to Todd Corrigall, Chamber of Commerce CEO.
Even larger corporations have been taking measures such as cutting hours or even layoffs. But small businesses may not have the ability to do so. During these times, Corrigall said it is vital to remember small businesses to help the community bounce back strong.
The local Chamber of Commerce has information on supports small businesses can utilize. That is available here.
