UNBC announces women’s Soccer awards

UNBC is continuing to roll out their yearly team awards for this past season and on Sunday they announced their awards for the women’s soccer team.

Mara McCleary had a masterful year on the pitch for the Timberwolves and as a result, was named both Player of the Year and Best Defensive Player. She was named a Canada West All-Star this year and is on pace to become UNBC’s all-time leader in both games and starts

Most Offensive Player went to Sofia Jones. The San Francisco product paced the Timberwolves in goals, assists, and points.

Finally, the Green & Gold Award went to Jenna Wild of Victoria B.C who started every game this season for the Timberwolves and was a tremendous leader for the club.
