Whiteout conditions lead to multiple crashes on Highway 16 West

PRINCE GEORGE — Whiteout conditions led to six major crashes on Highway 16 west between Prince George and Vanderhoof yesterday.

North District RCMP say most of them involved semi trucks though all injuries were non-life threatening.

On top of those six major crashes, RCMP say there were several minor ones as well that police did not attend.

The highway reopened at around 8 last night.
