Miracle Theatre tops $100,000 in latest fundraising production
PRINCE GEORGE — Every year since 2016, the Miracle Theatre has raised funds for local charities through productions it puts on. This year, the theatre managed to bring together its highest single-show fundraising total, $106,265.04. Miracle Theatre’s production of The Birds and the Bees was so well received it had to be extended twice, totalling 28 shows
All of that will go towards the Children of Prince George Fund, one of the many put on by the Prince George Community Foundation. Combined with last year’s fundraiser, also in support of the Children of Prince George Fund, means the charity has seen nearly over $190,000 of support in just two years.
The PG Community Foundation has two grant processes each year, one in the spring and one in the fall. Organizations will likely be able to apply for a grant built from these funds in this fall’s run.
Last year, the PG Community Foundation gave away almost $200,000 to over 30 charities. They are set to unveil their spring run next week.
