Trailer fire sparks $150K in damages

PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George Fire Rescue doused a trailer fire in the 2100 block of Norwood Street Friday night.

It started just after 6 p.m. and Acting Assistant Chief Peter Brbot says crews from three fire halls responded.

“First arriving crews found a mobile home fully engulfed in black smoke and flames,” he says. “Fire crews initiated a fast offensive attack and had the fire under control and extinguished immediately.”

Brbot says there were two people inside but notes they safely exited the structure uninjured.

He says the cause of the blaze is under investigation and estimates damages at $150,000.
