More support for commercial truck drivers during COVID-19 crisis
VICTORIA—The B.C. Government announced new measures they are taking to improve travel for commercial truck drivers across the province during the COVID-19 crisis.
A release from the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure said that the installation of additional portable toilets began over the long weekend.
These additional toilets are being added to several commercial vehicle pull-outs, inspection stations and chain-up locations throughout the province.Completion of those toilets is expected in the coming weeks to provide more options for commercial drivers.
Commercial truck drivers are seen as an essential service seeing that they transport essential goods across BC, such as food and medicine.
