Police looking for suspects in targeted shooting

kPRINCE GEORGE—Local RCMP are investigating after a shooting early this morning (Apr.27).

At around 2:30 a.m. the Prince George RCMP received a report of shots fired near 6th Ave. and Alward St.

Several officers attended the scene, and evidence of a shooting was found in a nearby alley.

In the later hours of the morning a vehicle associated to an address near the scene was located with what appeared to be bullet holes.

The driver of the vehicle was spoken to, however, did not cooperate with police.

RCMP believe the incident was targeted and related to the drug trade. The Prince George RCMP have allocated a number of resources to this investigation, with the goal of identifying the person or persons involved.

No one was injured.
