VICTORIA—The Public Health Association of B.C. (PHABC) along with PlaceSpeak, a B.C. based online engagement platform, have come together to create an online engagement and resource platform for British Columbians amidst the COVID-19 crisis.

Public Health and COVID-19, is a secure, digital community where British Columbians are able to discuss how various aspects of their lives have been affected by the coronavirus, connect to online events, and answer questions related to the pandemic.

“Understanding the scope and scale of the outbreak and what we all can do to manage it is a shared responsibility. PlaceSpeak and PHABC can help communities, organizations and individuals take the right steps, get the right answers to their questions and work collectively to take good care of ourselves and each other.”—Shannon Turner, Executive Director, Public Health Association of B.C.

The website also offers supports for parents, the latest news from Provincial Health Officer, Dr.Bonnie Henry and Health Minister, Adrian Dix as well as World Health Organization updates, outbreak data, social media content and tips for managing a long at home stay.
