PRINCE GEORGE — One man, 26, was arrested Friday after Prince George RCMP received a report of a person on the roof of a business on the 1400 block of 3rd Avenue. One witness indicated he was attempting to break into the business. The suspect is known to police.

When frontline officers arrived, they attempted to talk down the suspect off the roof but he was uncooperative and attempted to flee by running across multiple building rooftops. He was eventually taken into custody.

The suspect, whose name cannot be released until charges are sworn, was arrested for Break & Enter, Mischief, and Resisting Arrest. He was held in custody and will appear in court virtually on Saturday, pending charge approval by the BC Prosecution Service.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PG RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
