Feds pledge one-time benefit top-up to seniors in COVID-19 aid

OTTAWA– Help is on the way for seniors struggling to pay the bills because of increased expenses due to COVID-19. Close to 7 million seniors who get old age security and the guaranteed income supplement will get a one-time, tax-free top-up payment. Seniors who receive old age security will get 300-dollars and there will be a one-time payment of 200-dollars for those who receive the guaranteed income supplement.
