Long weekend Do’s and Don’ts

PRINCE GEORGE – The May long weekend is a time some people gather or travel. However, health officials are encouraging residents to stay close to home, spend time exploring their own backyards and enjoying the green spaces close to their homes.

Health officials have started to ease restrictions as part of its reopening plan for British Columbia, but they want to remind residents that this doesn’t mean people should be travelling or gather in large groups over the long weekend.

Travelling to surrounding towns and cities is not recommended. Residents should try to explore or rediscover some of the parks near their homes.

Provincial health officers recommend keeping the group small, sitting outside and making sure there’s enough physical distance.
