For the 2nd year in a row, the PGSS Polars will see one of their wrestlers move on to compete at the collegiate level.

This time it is Isaac Le Morvan, who has committed to the University of Alberta for the 2020-2021 season.

The year saw plenty of exposure and plenty of growth for Le Morvan, who competed in his 4th season of wrestling for the Polars.

“The year started out pretty well,” stated Le Morvan.

” I had some early success with War on the Floor which was early on last year where I finished 3rd. From then on we went to Edmonton where I got silver. Unfortunately, I didn’t too well at Provincials this year, but overall a great year at PGSS.”

He joined the team back in Grade 9 when he heard the announcements over the PA at school and has been hooked since. For Head Coach Ken Barwise, he has seen Le Morvan grow immensely over the course of the four years.

“That’s the fun part. We have a lot of footage. Where you see where he started to where he is today, it is pretty remarkable.”

Now he is getting set for his biggest challenge yet as he makes the jump to the collegiate level.

Preparations for next season have already begun for Le Morvan, who has been in talks with the coaching staff at U of A who have provided guidance when it comes to training during the Covid-19 pandemic, and even though it will be a busy off-season, Le Morvan is excited for the challenges which next season brings
