ICBC launches Prince George-exclusive campaign
PRINCE GEORGE – Motorists in the Northern Capital might be seeing some new roadside additions when out and about.
Exclusively in Prince George, ICBC has been cycling signs around some of its busier roadways as a way to remind drivers to be mindful of their speed and slow down.
Signs reading Be Safe, Be Kind, as well as Slow Down, have been placed throughout the city while ICBC also conducts speed checks a few times each week utilizing the equipment typically used by the volunteers of Community Policing.
According to Doug Mac Donald, Road Safety Coordinator with ICBC, with the warmer weather, drivers have a tendency to be driving a little bit faster. Not only that but as the Province enters Phase 2 of its re-opening plan amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, streets are experiencing more and more vehicles as businesses get back up and running.
