10 new cases of COVID-19 in B.C., none in northern B.C.

VICTORIA — Ten new cases of COVID-19 in B.C. over the past 24 hours, though none in the Northern Health region where the number of test positive cases remains at 62.

The number of test positive cases in B.C. since the pandemic began sits at 2517, though 2057 people, or 82 per cent, have fully recovered according to Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry.

Dr.Henry says 39 people are now hospitalized in B.C. because of COVID-19, while eight people are currently in critical care or intensive care units.

Sadly, there were two additional deaths reported today in B.C. for a total of 157.
