PRINCE GEORGE—Two men are in custody and facing charges after a home invasion, involving firearms, and the target of acquiring a dog.

On Friday May 29th at around 6:30 p.m. Prince George RCMP responded to a report of a home invasion at a residence on the 1800 block of Tamarack St. in Prince George.

When police arrived, they discovered two males attempting to flee the home through the back door, and were arrested shortly after.

Further investigation led officers to believe that the two suspects entered the residence with what appeared to be firearms and demanded that the residents give them their dog.

Both adult male residents, refused to hand the dog over, that is when police arrived and the suspects fled.

After searching the residence, local RCMP discovered a rifle, BB gun—resembling an assault rifle—and body armour, all believed to have been left behind by the suspects.

23-year-old Shayn Robert Bulmer, and 23-year-old Dylon Sadillo McLemore of Prince George are facing charges including, break and enter to commit an indictable offence, possession of a weapon for the purpose of committing an offence, and two counts of assault with a weapon.

Police say that further charges may be considered. The suspects and one of the adult male victims were known to each other.

Both suspects have been remanded in custody and are scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, June 2nd.

RCMP say the investigation is ongoing.
