RISKE CREEK, B.C. — On the first anniversary of Sabrina Rosette’s murder, Williams Lake RCMP are renewing a call for information into the circumstances surrounding her death.

It was June 8, 2019 when RCMP officers from Williams Lake and Alexis Creek were called to the Toosey Reserve, near Riske Creek, for a woman who was severely injured.

First responders tried to save her life, but she died at the scene.

A local man was arrested for murder at the time but, in a release Monday (June 8), RCMP say no charges have been laid.

Rosette, 33, left behind her children. RCMP say her family and friends are still devastated by her death.

“This investigation has remained active since the onset,” said Sgt. Kevin McIntyre of the North District Major Crimes Unit. “Our priority is to find the truth of what happened to Sabrina, and one area that we continue to focus on is information from witnesses. I recognize that this is a difficult request in such a close, and possibly divided community, but I ask that everyone join me in empathizing with Sabrina’s family and to call with any information that may help her children, family and community to heal.”

Anyone with information into the murder of Sabrina Rosette is asked to contact Williams Lake RCMP at (250) 392-6211 or Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 222-8477.
