Jun 9, 2020 | 10:55 AM

PRINCE GEORGE – Organizers of one of the most popular outdoor summertime events, the Prince George Cruisin’ Classic Classics Father’s Day Show n Shine will be hitting the road.

In an effort to follow the provincial health orders and recommendations, the Prince George Cruisin Classics group has decided to organize the vehicles into a parade that will weave through the city.

According to event organizers, this is the first time the participants will have an opportunity to drive in an organized vehicle parade that will loop around the city.

This year’s event has been renamed to “Father Day COVID Cruise for a Cause”

Before and during the event, parade participants, as well as the spectators, will be asked to donate to the Salvation Army Food Bank.

The vehicle staging area will take place at the CN Centre and the parade will begin at 1 p.m. Parade participants must remain in their vehicles or on your motorcycle during the staging. Spectators are asked not to attend the CN Centre parking lot to view the vehicles.

The parade route is around 50 km within city limits.

In an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19, organizers are asking participants and spectators not to assemble at the end of the parade.

For more information about the event go to Prince George Cruisin’ Classic Classics web site.
