Bookworms in the Cariboo to see curbside pickup begin
WILLIAMS LAKE—There’s some good news for bookworms in the Cariboo, a curbside lending program is beginning.
Cariboo Regional District Libraries are beginning their curbside program at three branches from: Williams Lake, Quesnel, and 100 Mile House, starting today (June 9). The service will run Tuesday through Saturday.
Readers will be able to place holds on items online, or over the phone. A pick-up time can be chosen online or if done over the phone, library staff will contact customers once the item is ready for pickup.
The no-contact service will see library material be picked up outside each location, following physical distancing. Returns will not be accepted during the curbside pickup, instead customers are being asked to use the library book drop for all returns.
