“Having support like this from Canadian Tire is amazing.”–Lance Potskin, Aboriginal Education Worker, SD57

The Canadian Tire bursaries focus on the four directions–Strength of Mind (North), Strength of Spirit (South), Strength of Heart (East) and Strength of Body–season and life cycles, and will be awarded to students who demonstrate leadership qualities and have shown academic growth and determination in their studies, connection with their culture, support of others, and commitment to better themselves or other in athletics. The public is able to apply or nominate someone for the Canadian Tire Four Direction Bursary

“We’re incredibly pleased that PGNFC has put together a $500 bursary honouring a former Head Start student’s journey into post-secondary school or trades training. This support can be incredibly impactful for students starting their post-secondary education.”–Lisa Provencher, Early Learning Coordinator, SD57

The bursary from the Prince George Native Friendship Centre will go to a student who began their education in the Prince George Native Friendship Centre’s Head Start program. Applications for the PG Native Friendship Centre bursary can be found here.

The closing date for both bursaries is June 15.
