UNBC Women’s Basketball team adds former MVP for 20/21 season

The UNBC Timberwolves women’s basketball team announced their newest recruit Friday morning as they revealed Jenna Korolek has signed on with the squad for next season.

Korolek was away from the game of basketball last year as she began her studies at UNBC where she has been studying Health Sciences.

The KRSS grad wanted to play for the Timberwolves this past season, but an ankle injury sidelined her for most of the recruiting period.

In 2018 and 2019, Korolek was named both KRSS Senior Female Athlete of the Year and Kelly Road MVP.

“I think it’s going to be a dream come true. I think I am going to put it on and say ‘oh damn, this is real, this is so exciting.’ I am actually a Timberwolf. My goal is on right now. It’s going to be amazing,” stated Korolek in a press release sent out by the team.

“Being a little, tiny school, it just shows the underdog story. If you work hard, you will succeed. We all have the talent up here. They just worked really hard to get where they are. It is really inspiring to be part of a team that wants to work as hard as I do.
