PRINCE GEORGE — Despite all the challenges COVID-19 has posed, Prince George residents still came through for the city’s number one cancer fundraising event over the weekend.

Relay for Life was renamed Relay at Home and was held virtually Saturday afternoon. It included performances by various artists including The Tragically Hip, Brett Kissel and others.

And though supporters were unable to walk laps outside CN Centre as they had in years past, supporters still helped the event raise over $100,000.

“Which is amazing considering the climate we’re in,” says spokesperson Aimee Cassie, who adds Prince George residents were resourceful in their bid to raise funds.
