On Monday, following health official guidelines, city staff turned on the taps at the water park located at Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park.

Councillor Cori Ramsay appreciates city staff opening the popular water park as it gives residents the opportunity to enjoy the summer.

Ramsay would also like to see the water fountain located in the Canada Winter Games Plaza in operation so residents have more opportunities to enjoy outdoor water activities.

City staff is encouraging park users to remember those key health messages in slowing the spread of the coronavirus when at public parks, including the need for social distancing.

The city parks and open spaces are open every day from 6 am to 10 pm.
