Village of McBride residents are asked not to consume drinking water

Village of McBride – Since June 24th, 2020 residents of the Village of McBride were asked not to consume drinking water that’s provided by the village’s water supply system.

In consultation with Northern Health and the Drinking Water Officer, the Village of McBride issued a Do not Consume Notice.

According to a notice on the Village’s website, the community water system may be experiencing some contamination because of the high turbidity in the water.

The Village is monitoring the turbidity in the McBride Community water system’s reservoir and its water sources.

The notice states the turbidity levels after the rainstorm events on the weekend are now trending downward and will be closely monitored by the Village daily.
