12 new cases of COVID-19 in B.C., no new deaths

VICTORIA–12 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the province today (June 30).

None of the newly reported cases are in the Northern Health Region. Once again Northern Health remains at 65 test-positive cases.

Cases by Health Region:

  • Vancouver Coastal Health: 981
  • Fraser Health: 1,538
  • Vancouver Island Health: 131
  • Interior Health: 201
  • Northern Health: 65

The 12 additional cases bring the province’s total to 2,916 test-positive cases. There are 152 active cases at the moment with 18 people in hospital and four who are in ICU.

No new deaths were reported today, B.C.’s death toll remains at 174.

No new health-care or community outbreaks were reported today either.

Both Dix and Henry saying that this Canada Day will be different for everyone but that there are virtual celebrations.
