PRINCE GEORGE – “This would have been our tenth year of Downtown Summerfest. And our call to action has been Downtown Summerfest – Take to the Streets. Well, this year it’s Downtown Summerfest – Take it Home.”

That’s how Colleen Van Mook, Executive Director with Downtown Prince George describes how Summerfest will work this year. That’s because the COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way Summerfest will happen this year. Starting July 12 and running for the entire week, Summerfest will be offered virtually. So all the events you could take in downtown, in person, will be online. Learn how to do yoga, make the perfect cocktail or learn a craft.

The food vendors are always a big attraction. Fear not! The vendors will still be available with samples of their wares.

“Everybody goes online,” says Toni Schell with Farmhouse Catering. “They check out the menu items that we did provide. You pick your choice, whether its a single meal or you go for a Family of Four. Then you pick a time for pick up. All the restaurants will get their orders from Downtown Prince George and we will get it ready for you and you come on down to take a meal home.”

And there are prizes to be had for placing those orders earlier, including the chance at a backyard furniture set.
