24 new cases of COVID-19 in B.C., 3 new deaths

VANCOUVER—Northern Health remains at 65 test positive cases of COVID-19.

Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry and Health Minister Adrian Dix reported on a two day period—Tuesday through Wednesday,— 24 new cases of COVID-19 were reported.

Cases by Health Region:

  • Vancouver Coastal Health: 989
  • Fraser Health: 1,553
  • Vancouver Island Health: 132
  • Interior Health: 201
  • Northern Health: 65

The 24 new cases bring B.C.’s total of test positive cases to 2,940.

Three new deaths were reported, two in longterm care and one in hospital in the Fraser Health region.

There are 17 people in hospital with two in critical care. No new health-care outbreaks were reported today, five remain active.

Some good news, Dr. Henry and Minister Dix announced that the last community outbreak was declared over, something Health Minister Dix said British Columbians should all be proud of.

2,603 people have recovered from COVID-19.
