PRINCE GEORGE – According to the First Nations Health Authority 89 its members died of fatal overdoses between January and May. That’s up 93 per cent over the same period last year.

Provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry says she’s concerned about the increase in First Nations overdose deaths during the pandemic and would like to know how the province can better support Indigenous people and particularly First Nations people in B.C.
