Kings announce details for upcoming Summer Camp

Despite the ongoing situation regarding arenas in the City of Prince George not being re-opened until further notice, the Prince George Spruce Kings have announced details on their summer camp.

The two-week camp will begin on August 17 and will feature a variety of age groups.

This includes U9, U11, and U13 Groups for week one and separate U9, U11, and U13 groups for week two, along with an all-female group.

“Originally we had announced an August 10 start date. We have to delay that a little bit here and it is all tentative right now as we look to offer a modified hockey school,” explained Kings Business Operations Manager Kyle Anderson.

“We are really hopeful this gets the go-ahead. Just for the mental health and wellness of the youth in Prince George. During this pandemic, it hasn’t been easy on them as there hasn’t been much opportunity to see their friends and maybe get the activities they are used to. We are hoping we get the go-ahead for these dates.”
