Houston RCMP asking for dashcam footage of suspicious incident on highway 118
HOUSTON–RCMP are looking into a suspicious incident that took place on highway 118 on Monday, July 20.
RCMP say they received a call from a driver who had been heading north on highway 118 north of Topley between the Findlay brake check and the wooden bridge, when they noticed a woman walk out of the bush and into the ditch.
The woman is described to have been wearing a white tank top, grey or green sweat pants, was barefoot and appeared to be soaking wet. A truck, a silver or grey, single cab, GMC or Chevrolet pickup was on a trail near where the woman was seen exiting the bush. The driver stopped on the side of the road and the woman was seen getting into the truck on the drivers’ side, followed by the man. The truck was then seen leaving the area towards Granisle.
“The circumstances surrounding this is (are) concerning and we hope to identify the people to ensure the well-being of all.”– Sgt. Mark Smaill NCO i/c Houston RCMP
