Eagles killed by barbiturate

PRINCE GEORGE – The eagle is one of the most powerful birds in the sky. Recently the local Conservation Officers Services discovered three eagles consumed a drug that’s used to euthanized animals, two eagles are now dead.

During the month of April local Conservation Officers, Eaman McArthur responded to two reports of eagles in distress in the Pineview area located near the city limits.

During the investigation, it was discovered the three eagles had ingested meat that contained a barbiturate used by veterinarians.
