Climb for Cancer going forward with new format
PRINCE GEORGE — It will be a new looked Climb for Cancer this year, the fifth edition of the event. The annual fundraiser supports the Kordyban Lodge, which provides safe and affordable care to more than 800 guests each year.
It will be held over four days to help with physical distancing. Teams will have to schedule a time to climb over two weekends, August 8 and 9, and 15 and 16. Larger teams will be given multiple time slots to ensure there is a limited number of climbers at one time. You can register right up until the event begins.
“Large events won’t be permitted until we move into Phase 4 of BC’s Restart Plan, but the Kordyban Lodge continues to require support to keep providing a much needed service to cancer patients from out of town receiving cancer treatment in Prince George,” said Doug Bell, Planning Committee Chair. “We’ve worked hard as a Planning Committee to ensure the Climb for Cancer goes ahead in a way that keeps everyone’s safety top of mind.”
