PRINCE GEORGE – The 2020 wildfire season continues to be slower-than-average. Since the beginning of the month there have been 36 new wildfires in B.C. The majority occurred in the southern half of the province, with rain over the northern half in June and July, helping to moderate the wildfire situation . However, a heat warning for much of the southern and central Interior has officials across the province on the alert.
