PRINCE GEORGE — BC Camps Association and Easter Seals are teaming up for a stay-at-home camp out. This is in response to not being able to fulfill regular overnight summer camps due to COVID-19.

The Great BC Camp Out is a one-day at-home camping experience with free family activities and online campfire stories and songs. Families can also tune into the campout on the Easter Seals YouTube channel starting at 5pm. It’s an opportunity for kids who otherwise could have been participating in summer camps to get a similar experience in a different way.

“It’s really a celebration of the campfire experience that you can have at home. We’re encouraging families to set up a tent in the backyard, enjoy some smores, and doing summer camp activities from the comfort of your own home,” said Lauren Marutt, Program Coordinator for BC Camps Association.
