Fire training to take place at YXS tomorrow

PRINCE GEORGE—The Prince George Airport Authority is giving residents a heads up about fire training that will be taking place at YXS tomorrow.
Training is scheduled to begin tomorrow (August 5) from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and may produce dark smoke in and around the airport area.
The Airport Authority says that the fires are held in self-contained training facilities under controlled circumstances and are part of ongoing recurrent fire training certification.
In the past the dark smoke in the area has caused concern from local resident leading to increased call volumes to local media.
